Welcome to Pershing County Nevada!

Lovelock is the largest community and county seat of Pershing County. The city lies in a level meadow valley bounded by the Humboldt Range to the east and the Trinity and Seven Troughs ranges to the north and west.  Pershing County is also home to Rye Patch State Recreation Area, Imlay, Mill City, Grass Valley and Unionville.

Pershing County was carved from Humboldt County in 1919, with Lovelock being named the county seat. The county is named after General John J. Pershing, a World War I hero.

The local economy is supported by mining (diotomite, fluorspar, gold, gypsum, iron ore, lead, mercury, silver and tungsten), agriculture, services (motels, gas stations, restaurants), retail trade and tourism.
